把流水線技術(shù)和重疊技術(shù)比較，一般有如下的一些特點(diǎn)：
(1) 流水線一定重疊，比重疊更苛刻。
(2) 一條流水線通常有多個(gè)流水段組成。
(3) 每段有專用功能部件，各部件順序連接，不斷流。
(4) 流水線有建立時(shí)間、滿載時(shí)間、排空時(shí)間。
(5) 各段時(shí)間盡量短、一致；不一致時(shí)最慢子過程為瓶頸。
(6) 一般技術(shù)書上給出的指標(biāo)如最大吞吐率等，為滿負(fù)載最佳指標(biāo)。
